zkEVM
Add Polygon zkEVM to MetaMask. We can do it with ChainList. It is launching on Mainnet Beta, which means you will need ETH to pay gas fees.
Bridge to Polygon zkEVM. If you have funds on the Ethereum network, you can bridge ETH from Ethereum to Polygon zkEVM via the Native Bridge. Additionally, if you have money on Arbitrum and/or gas fees are too high, you can also use other third-party bridges recommended by Polygon, such as Orbiter Finance, Optimism. In particular, using Orbiter Finance or Optimism will reimburse you 60-70% of gas costs.
Interact with Polygon zkEVM DApps. Here are the list of the best DApps from Polygon zkEVM ranked by Total Value Locked (TVL). Try to trade regularly every week, as frequency of interaction with smart contracts is an important criterion to benefit from the airdrop:

zkEVM Airdrop
As usual, let's break down what zkEVM is!
Polygon zkEVM is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum that leverages the power of zero-knowledge proof scaling while maintaining Ethereum compatibility, similar to zkSync and Linea. Polygon zkEVM developers and users can use the same code, tools, and applications they use on Ethereum, but with higher throughput and much lower fees. This allows Ethereum-based DApps to scale more efficiently, which is essential for mass DeFi adoption and they raised $450 millions!
Okay, but what is the difference between zkEVM Polygon and Polygon?
Polygon initially operates as a parallel sidechain to the Ethereum mainnet, while Polygon zkEVM uses the ZK-Rollup architecture built on Ethereum. The main difference is that Polygon is compatible with EVM but Polygon zkEVM has full equivalence with EVM. The latter aims to be a near-perfect replica of Ethereum's execution environment, meaning it uses ETH instead of MATIC for gas fees.
Super, but what about the Airdrop?
Sure, it is very likely that an airdrop will be organized for Polygon's zkEVM users. Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon, hinted on Twitter that there will be a large airdrop for MATIC zkEVM users. He also compared Polygon's current zkEVM development process to Arbitrum, which took more than a year to build. This means we are only in the early stages and users have enough time to complete on-chain actions that will make them eligible for the airdrop!
